Volunteers Community Partners

Engaging the local community is an essential component of all successful invasive species management efforts. In order to make strides towards reducing the impact of invasive species, the community must be involved and feel empowered to invoke positive change. Whether it is using native plants in landscaping, stopping the spread of invasive species by cleaning off mowers, boats and boots, hosting or volunteering for an invasive species removal project, or engaging with town boards and local governments to take action, the community is the first line of defense in the fight against invasives. We are all in this together!
