DESCRIPTION:Cornell Cooperative Extension will be sponsoring the 31st Annual Rural Landowner Workshop. The program will begin at 9:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM. Following the opening session there will be 3 concurrent sessions with multiple classes per session to choose from. \nThe Rural Landowner Workshop is a regional program involving several agencies that provide educational information and outreach to landowners. HWA Hunters is a program by the NYS Hemlock Initiative through Cornell University to survey and report infestations of HWA. DESCRIPTION:The USDA Forest Service is organizing a National Forum on Biological Control in partnership with NAISMA and the National Association of State Foresters. The meeting will focus on both weed and arthropod biocontrol and will be a venue for all biocontrol practitioners\, researchers\, and policy makers to come together to address the shared challenges (Ex.\, communication\, capacity\, changing landscapes) and opportunities that exist in this area.
