Invasive Species Tier Ranking Meetings

WNY PRISM is working with iMapInvasives to implement a new tool to review and rank invasive species into tiers using reported invasive species data. This tool was used to generate a list that we will use as a starting point to update our tier ranking list for the region. We are calling for a Terrestrial Working Group and an Aquatic Working Group to meet and discuss the plants and animals that have been ranked through this process. The invasive species tier ranking process provides easy reference for partners and the public to prioritize species and select appropriate management strategies. If you would like to offer expertise or insight to ensure species are ranked appropriately, please contact us for the list of species under review.
