Welcome to Our 2023 Education and Outreach Assistant!

WNY PRISM would like to welcome the final member of our 2023 Seasonal Crew! Join us in welcoming Tyler Burgess, our Education and Outreach Assistant. Tyler will help maintain our social media accounts and Listserv, develop invasive species educational materials, prepare e-newsletters and help with education and outreach events. 

Tyler Burgess, Education and Outreach Assistant

Tyler Burgess graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Environmental Studies. His experience includes interning with Earth Spirit and teaching K-12 students about the natural world around them, working with kids at Tifft Nature Preserve during fishing days and at various tabling and expo events with the Southtowns Walleye Association. He plans to eventually continue working on his master’s degree but is extremely excited to be a part of the WNY PRISM team now. While not working, you can typically find him on a trail near you with his two daughters and a dog or two, forever exploring nature and everything it has to offer. He is excited to learn more about invasive species and contribute to the awareness and education of them.
