Event Details:

Join WNY PRISM for our 2025 Fall Partner Meeting, followed by Working Group Meetings in the afternoon.

Partner Meeting (9:30 AM – Noon)

The morning session will include updates from WNY PRISM’s 2025 field season, a presentation and discussion of WNY PRISM’s Strategic Plan, and partner updates from across the region.

Working Group Meetings: (1:00 – 3:00 PM)

WNY PRISM is tasked with reviewing and updating the regional NYS Invasive Species Tier Rankings every two years and we need your help and expertise to do so!

We will be splitting into two working groups, one focused on terrestrial species and one focused on aquatics. Whether you are a plant person, fish person, someone with knowledge about invertebrates, pathogens, pathways of invasion, agricultural impacts of invasive species, or about any other aspects of invasive species and management, your input will be very valuable. The discussions and decisions made during these meetings will also inform WNY PRISM’s decisions on species to include within our early detection, approaching region and data gap priority species lists.

Parking

Attendees must park in either the R-14 or R-15 lots: https://suny.buffalostate.edu/sites/default/files/2020-02/campusmap.pdf. Please be sure you are parked in the correct lot to avoid receiving a ticket.  

Lunch Info

If you’re staying for the afternoon session, please bring lunch or pick something up at the Buffalo State University Student Union. Attendees are encouraged to bring their food back to the Alumni Center.
