Join WNY PRISM to help remove Japanese stiltgrass at volunteer workdays this summer! Japanese stiltgrass is an early detection priority species in western New York and we need your help to protect our lands and waters from this invasive species.
WNY PRISM is carrying on with our seasonal preparation remotely and this week we began training our seasonal Crew! Join us in welcoming our three Invasive Species Management Assistants, Julia Biondi, Jason Kappan, and Kyle Serena, as well as our Education and Outreach Assistant, Danielle Dolan.
WNY PRISM is working with iMapInvasives to implement a new tool to review and rank invasive species into tiers using reported invasive species data. This tool was used to generate a list that we will use as a starting point to update our tier ranking list for the region.

WNY PRISM is working with Buffalo Audubon Society to manage invasive species at the North Tonawanda Audubon Nature Preserve. This preserve is home to hundreds of native species and is an important area for migratory birds.
