What’s on Your Boots? Seeds, Invasive Species, and Landscape-Level Patterns
June 12 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Virtual Event
Join this webinar to learn how visitors to parks and other natural spaces can unknowingly transport thousands of viable seeds on their boots – including invasive species – across the landscape, driving significant ecological change. Charlotte Brown, an Ecologist Team Lead at Parks Canada will be presenting results from a pilot study using PlayCleanGo boot brush stations at Elk Island National Park..
This event is organized by Invasives Canada and is part of PlayCleanGo Awareness Week, a collaborative initiative led by NAISMA, Invasives Canada, CONABIO, and partners across North America. It also coincides with NYISAW this year.
