June 6 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Do you enjoy hiking in western New York? Join WNY PRISM’s Trail Survey Program and help map invasive species while spending time outdoors. Your observations will contribute to regional data that supports invasive species management and the protection of native ecosystems.

This training includes both classroom and field components:

  • Indoor session: Learn to identify key invasive plants, including both common species and regional priority species, as well as how to conduct trail surveys and use the iMapInvasives mobile app
  • Outdoor session: Practice surveying along trails, identifying plants and recording observations using the app

Additional details will be emailed the week of the training.
