WNY PRISM is excited to welcome our 2025 Field Crew Leader, Cat Eaton! Cat will provide supervision for seasonal staff and will help coordinate and implement invasive species management projects involving invasive species surveys, site monitoring, invasive species removal and habitat/native plant restoration projects throughout the WNY PRISM region.

Cat graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Their transition into environmental restoration began after college in southern Utah working for American Conservation Experience (ACE) performing a variety of tasks including invasive species removal, forest thinning, and trail-building. For the past six years she has worked for the National Park Service as a seasonal biological science technician in places like Zion National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Teton National Park, where she specialized in greenhouse management, native plant restoration and invasive plant removal. Now, they are excited to build upon their experience by delving into the natural spaces of western New York and helping others hone their abilities and skills. When not caring for her 80+ houseplants, Cat spends her free time gardening, quilting, hunting and hiking with her partner and Brittany spaniel.

Welcome to the WNY PRISM team, Cat!
