WNY PRISM is working with Buffalo Audubon Society to manage invasive species at the North Tonawanda Audubon Nature Preserve. This preserve is home to hundreds of native species and is an important area for migratory birds.
When it comes to managing invasive species, there are several points to check off before you can even begin to actually manage them. You need to know what species you are looking for, what it looks like, and most important of all, location.
Please join us as we welcome Lucy Nuessle, a western New York native, as our new, full-time Project Manager. It’s a homecoming for Lucy, as she spent her summer a couple years ago (2015) as one of WNY PRISM’s Invasive Species Management Assistants.
WNY PRISM once again is working alongside Tifft Nature Preserve, this time on an ambitious vernal pool habitat restoration project involving invasive species removal.
