WNY PRISM has an opening for a Slender False Brome Project Manager. Slender False Brome (Brachypodium sylvaticum) is an invasive species that has the ability to invade a wide-range of habitats and dominate these areas to the near complete exclusion of native vegetation.

WNY PRISM is working with Buffalo Audubon Society to manage invasive species at the North Tonawanda Audubon Nature Preserve. This preserve is home to hundreds of native species and is an important area for migratory birds.
When it comes to managing invasive species, there are several points to check off before you can even begin to actually manage them. You need to know what species you are looking for, what it looks like, and most important of all, location.
